Micromanipulation techniques are important in many areas of science; including physiology, transgenic work, IVF and neuroscience. We have specialised, for many years, in equipment for this type of work. Our range includes stereomicroscopes, inverted microscopes and fixed stage microscopes, to which micromanipulators can be attached. We can supply a large range of manipulators, including mechanical and remote control types. See below for useful facts in relation to micromanipulation
The attachment of manipulators to microscopes requires a variety of solutions, such as magnetic stands (including heavy duty extra stable type) and various support stands and systems. Micro Instruments is able to supply a variety of standard systems, as well as manufacture special support systems.
Micromanipulators are designed for precision control and to be very stable. If the manipulator mounting is not strong and secure, the features provided by an expensive micromanipulator can easily be compromised.
